Attach a file

Learn how to attach a pdf file to your chats for added context.

Attaching a file is a convenient way to give the AI extensive and complex information without the need for time-consuming manual input. Using files reduces the likelihood of human error and can give your AI models contextual understanding when processing your prompt.

Files can be attached from the homepage with the first prompt you send, or you can add them during your chat with each AI model.

The following file types are currently supported:

  • docx
  • doc
  • pdf
  • pptx
  • json
  • csv
  • text files (.txt, .text, .me, .ts, .js, .java, .php, .py, .rb, etc)

NOTE: If the upload takes too long, it may time out. To avoid this, we recommend using files that are less than 200MB.

Add a file from the homepage

To add a file from the homepage, select the attachment icon.

Once the file is uploaded, it is listed above the send to AI button. The attached file is sent to all AI models you have enabled.

Add a file in a chat

To add a file from the chat, select the attachment icon.

Once the file is uploaded it is listed above the chat box. When attaching a file to an existing chat, it is only sent to one model.
